The RJ45 strain relief boot slides onto an RJ45 modular plug before crimping and stays permanently on the finished patch lead. It shields the locking tab from snagging on rack rails and cable bundles — the most common cause of failed patch leads — and controls the cable bend radius at the connector so the conductors are not pulled loose inside the plug.

Supplied in bags of 100 pieces in five colours, allowing straightforward colour-coding of uplinks, voice, CCTV, server and general patch runs in a busy rack.

Always measure the outer jacket diameter of your cable before purchasing. This boot fits 6.5 mm OD cable only — CAT6A and shielded (STP / FTP) cables with a larger jacket will not fit.
