The Dell PPHXF is the optional serial port module for selected Dell Pro Micro desktops that ship without a COM port. It adds one DB9 serial port on the rear panel and connects to the KB MS SERIAL connector on the system board, using the optional module slot of the Micro chassis. It is useful where the computer needs to talk to POS equipment, industrial machines, test gear or other serial devices. Please confirm your exact model before ordering, as OptiPlex SFF and MT desktops use a different module.
